Proverbs 27:17

In 1972 The United Negro College Fund Launched This Slogan to Galvanize support to provide Financial and Academic Assistance to Students. Decades later this slogan is still a part of our Vernacular.

The Reason I am pressing this today is because Scholarship is the Second Cardinal Principle. Scholarship is defined as Academic Study or Achievement, Learning at a High Level.

The Book of Proverbs 27:17 reminds us that Iron Sharpens Iron. This is a Fresh Reminder to all of us that we should always Thirst after Knowledge. Knowledge is Still Power!

We must commit ourselves to being Life Long Learners. The Day We stop Learning Brothers is the Day We Stop Growing!!
So what is The Purpose of Scholarship?

To Equip Us
To Educate Us
To Encourage Us
To Empower Us

While Friendship Is Essential to the Soul, Scholarship Is Essential to the Mind.
